Tips for Escape Room games.
The holiday season is about spending time with the people closest to you, family or friends. Shared experiences can be truly unforgettable gifts, often more important than material gifts. That’s why escape room games can be amazing gifts. But how do you manage if you’ve never been to one? Here are some tips!
Try to take the initiative
To succeed, it’s important to have a strategy and not be afraid to take the initiative. The right strategy is essential to solve the mystery and get out of the room in time. If you have an idea, do not be afraid to act on it to make progress in the game. But also, don’t forget to listen to your team.
Be a team player
Everyone is good at something different and in an escape room everyone contributes to the success. For example, you may be very good at logic puzzles but miss hidden clues. Everyone has to do the task they are best and fastest at. It takes teamwork to solve the magical puzzles. A good idea is to double check things, if someone has checked something, it can’t hurt to give it another look just in case you or someone else notices something different. Everyone pays attention to different things, so make sure you are working together.
Communicate with your team members
It is important to communicate with your teammates and listen to them! They may have already figured something out or found a clue they need to solve a puzzle. Work as a team and don’t be afraid to ask others for advice. Never keep anything to yourself. Do not be selfish when it comes to puzzles, perhaps you are not the right person to solve this specific puzzle yourself.
Watch the time and ask for hints
The game lasts for a set time, usually 60 minutes. Make the best of the time and divide up your tasks. Be organized and always communicate with what you’ve discovered and what you think your clues and puzzle pieces might be used for. If you feel stuck, maybe it can be good to take a step back to see what you are missing to complete the puzzle. Maybe you need to finish another puzzle somewhere else to progress, so don’t waste all your time on the same puzzle. And finally, strength is knowing when to ask for help, use the hint system if you are completely stuck. It can save you a lot of time just getting a small nudge in the right direction.
