FAQ

Accessibility & Health Concerns (Service Animals, Handicap Accessibility)

"Is this facility handicap accessible?"

Our facility is ADA compliant.

All common areas, including the lobby and restrooms, are designed to be accessible to all guests.

While all players can enter and participate in our games, due to the immersive nature of escape rooms, the physical design of certain rooms may include environmental elements that could limit access to specific sub-sections of the game for players with mobility impairments.

If a member of your party has specific mobility, sensory, or accessibility requirements, please email us at losangeles@paniqroom.com.

Our team can provide a detailed breakdown of the physical demands for each room and help you select the experience best suited to your group’s specific needs.

"Are pets or service animals allowed?"

Due to health regulations, we do not allow pets.

We welcome trained Service Animals in accordance with ADA, DPSS, and LA County Health Department guidelines. Please note that Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are not permitted. All service animals must be housebroken and kept under the handler's control at all times.

"Are there any health conditions that would prevent a player from playing the game?"

Most of our experiences are designed to be inclusive and suitable for a wide range of guests.

Our escape rooms, while safe, are built to be immersive and exciting—some involve dramatic lighting, sound effects, or enclosed spaces, which may feel intense for certain individuals. If that’s a concern, let us know and we’ll guide you toward the most suitable options.

Some of other experiences (like our Quiz Room and Karaoke Lounge) are much more relaxed and can be comfortably enjoyed by almost anyone.

We’re happy to help you choose the right adventure based on your preferences—just reach out!

Games (Difficulty, Group Size, Duration)

"Are your escape rooms scary?"

We’re proud to offer one of the scariest escape rooms in Los Angeles: Zombie Outbreak. Packed with jump scares and an intense atmosphere, it’s designed for true horror fans.

That said, most of our rooms are not scary—and several are great for kids and families. If you’re looking for a fun, fear-free experience, we recommend Wizard Trials, Route 51, Casino Heist, or Superhero.

We also offer a creepy experience: Insane Asylum. While not outright scary, it has an eerie, psychological tone with dim lighting, unsettling sounds, and immersive environmental storytelling. There are no jump scares, but the vibe is definitely chilling.

"How long does it take to finish the game?"

It depends on your performance. When the game starts, you have 60 minutes to escape, so the games don't last more than 60 minutes plus preparation (10-15 minutes). In special cases, we might add an extra 5 or 10 minutes to the game time.

"Any suggestions before we start the game?"

In order to ensure an uninterrupted fun experience, please use the restroom (we have restrooms at PanIQ Room!) and mute your cell phone before entering the game area.

"What's the ideal group size for an escape room?"

The most compelling and exciting adventure games usually occur with groups of 4. If your group is smaller you can still play the game but your experience will not be the same. Generally, the smaller the team, the harder the game.

The maximum number beyond which we will not allow the game to be played is 5-10 people.

"What if we're late for our public game?"

If your group arrives late for a public room, the on-time team may start the game at the scheduled time. While we offer a five-minute grace period, we cannot guarantee entry if you’re late to avoid disrupting other guests. A late surcharge ($5/player) may apply, and you may be asked to rebook.

Once gameplay begins, no other teams can join.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your start time to ensure you get the full game experience.

"There are more than 10 of us and we would like to play together. Can we do that?"

The minimum number of players we allow is 2 people, and the maximum number we allow is 10 people (except in the Insane Asylum, where the max is 8).

Typically we do not allow more than 10 people in one room at the same time, but you are more than welcome to get some more friends and play in two different rooms!

As a special request, in certain rooms we can accommodate more players – please check with us via phone or email.

"What is a public escape room?"

We have up to 10 available spots per game in our escape rooms. A public game means that if you pick the public option during booking, other players may join your game in case you have booked less than the maximum number of players.

We offer private games as well to guarantee an experience only with your team.

"What is the difference between the rooms?"

They differ in their story, mood, design, size, difficulty and objectives. Each one is unique and offers a different experience. The goal remains the same: "Escape!" We are keeping the rest a secret for now!

Please check out the room profiles in the Escape Rooms menu.

"What if more people show up than we originally booked for?"

No problem at all! There’s no need to call ahead—just let us know the final group size when you arrive. You can pay for any additional players at the door with a credit or debit card.

Policies (Cancellations, Age Restrictions, Pets)

"Are pets or service animals allowed?"

Due to health regulations, we do not allow pets.

We welcome trained Service Animals in accordance with ADA, DPSS, and LA County Health Department guidelines. Please note that Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are not permitted. All service animals must be housebroken and kept under the handler's control at all times.

"What's the age policy at PanIQ Room?"

Children under the age of 6 are not permitted.

Children aged 6–14 must be in a privately booked room with their group, and at least one player must be over 18.
For safety reasons, children aged 6–10 who engage in dangerous behavior may be asked to stop playing.

Players aged 15–17 must have an adult (18 or older) present at check-in to sign a waiver, but may play without an adult in the room.

PanIQ Room staff reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

"What if we're late for our private game?"

Your game begins precisely at the time you reserved. Unfortunately, if you are late we might have to deduct time from your game or apply a late fee.

Please keep in mind that you have to arrive 15 minutes before your starting time. This will ensure you get the full game time in your room.

Rescheduling due to a late arrival (5 minutes into game start time) might be subject to a $5 per person late surcharge.

Arriving 15 minutes after a game is scheduled to start will be considered a “no show” and the reservation will be cancelled. No refunds will be issued.

If you notify us by phone that you will be late, we will do our best to wait or accommodate a new time for you.

"What is your cancellation & reschedule policy?"

You can reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before its start time. For games less than 24 hours away, a 15% rescheduling fee will be charged.

How to reschedule your game:
1️⃣ Click on your reservation link provided in your confirmation email.
2️⃣ Once on our Booking Confirmation page, click the 'Reschedule Booking' button. You will then receive a reschedule code with a balance matching your booking price.
3️⃣ Use the code to book a new game time on our website.

Please note that rescheduling is not available if your game is scheduled to start in less than 12 hours. Reschedule codes are valid for 3 months from the time of issue.

You can cancel your reservation by replying to your confirmation email. However, please note that all sales are final—we do not issue refunds for cancellations or no-shows. We strongly recommend rescheduling instead of canceling.

"When should I arrive?"

All groups are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their reserved time. Your booking begins 10 minutes prior to the start of your game to allow for a check in, a quick overview of the escape room process, storing your belongings in a locker, and using the restrooms, if needed.

If you arrive after the 10-minute mark, even if it is before the start time of your game, we may not be able to give you the full allotted time to make your escape. Your game clock begins promptly at the scheduled start time!

"What if we can't show up after paying online?"

We're sorry, but there will be no refunds issued for no shows or cancelled reservations.

In case of a voucher payment, the voucher number entered online will be automatically marked as redeemed after making a reservation.

You do have one option to reschedule your game at least 24 hours prior to your reservation time.

We offer 15% off for all active police officers and firefighters and their teams. To receive your discount code, please email losangeles@paniqroom.com and present your badge to your game host upon arrival.

No problem at all! There’s no need to call ahead—just let us know the final group size when you arrive. You can pay for any additional players at the door with a credit or debit card.

"What is the booking fee? Are there any additional fees?"

The booking fee is part of our standard ticket pricing and applies to all reservations. It covers the operation of our booking system and is already included in the posted ticket price.

The price shown for each ticket is the full ticket price before applicable taxes. We use all-in pricing, so there are no additional booking or convenience fees added at checkout.
