"I see 2 locations, what does that mean?"

"How does booking work?"

On our Booking page, each available game is listed. We offer public and private games as well.

Same day reservations can be easily booked online; our availability is updated in real-time.

After making the reservation, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information you need. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please contact us at [email protected].

"There are more than eight of us and we would like to play together. Can we do that?"

The maximum number of players we can allow varies from room to room, so please check our booking page to see more details and find the best game for your group size.

If you have a group larger than one room can accommodate, we’d suggest booking two rooms at the same time—we could make it a friendly competition! Check out our Events page.

"We would like to organize a corporate event or a bigger team building game! What do we do?"

We love team building events! Each of our Game Masters is highly experienced and can host a game tailored to your team’s needs. Check out our Events page for booking, and feel free to contact us at [email protected] with any questions and requests.

"I would like to surprise someone with an 'escape' as a gift! How can I do that?"

You can purchase a gift voucher for your recipient conveniently online, here. You can print it out, or send the voucher confirmation directly to the recipient and its voucher number can be applied to the reservation when booking online.

"Do you offer a military discount?"

Yes. We offer 10% off for all active military. Please email [email protected] to receive the code and show your military ID to your game host upon arrival.

“I have a Groupon—How does that work?”

Groupons are only valid for one game per location.

To use your Groupon, select any of the available time slots online, choose Voucher as your payment method, and enter your voucher code. There is no restriction on the time or day for which these vouchers can be used—so long as your game is played before your voucher’s expiration date!

Limit of one voucher per reservation, extra players can be added at a surcharge of $36.95/person.

"What happens if my voucher's promotional value expires?"

After the expiration date of your coupon, its promotional value expires, but you can still redeem it at the PanIQ Room for the amount you have paid. For example, if you paid $99 for a coupon redeemable for a $149 ticket, that coupon is still valid for $99 worth of ticket. Our system will accept your reservation, and you will have to pay the $50 difference at the door to play. To make a reservation using an expired voucher, please contact us at [email protected]!

"The number of participants showing up may differ from the number that was booked. Is this a problem?"

So long as your final player count does not exceed your chosen game's limit, that's not a problem! We can process payment for extra players at the door. We are unable to process refunds for players who don't show up, so book conservatively if your final headcount is uncertain.

Games (Difficulty, Group Size, Duration)

So long as your final player count does not exceed your chosen game's limit, that's not a problem! We can process payment for extra players at the door. We are unable to process refunds for players who don't show up, so book conservatively if your final headcount is uncertain.

"What is the difference between the rooms?"

They differ in their story, mood, design, size and difficulty. Each one is unique and offers a different experience. The goal remains the same: Escape! Check out the Escape Rooms menu for more info. We are keeping the rest a secret!

"What's the ideal group size for an escape room?"

The most compelling and exciting adventure games usually occurs with groups of 4 to 6 players. If your group is smaller you can still play the game, but your experience may be a bit more challenging. We are unable to exceed the maximum player count for our games, so please check our booking page to see how many players your desired game can hold!

"How long does it take to finish the game?"

It depends on your performance. When the game starts, you have 60 minutes to escape, so if you escape earlier, you are free! Most groups spend about an hour and 20 minutes at PanIQ Room: 15 minutes pre-game, 60 minutes of game-play, and 5 minutes afterwards for pictures and any questions.

Policies (Cancellations, Rescheduling, Age Restrictions)

"Do you offer a military discount?"

Yes. We offer 10% off for all active military. Please email [email protected] to receive the code and show your military ID to your game host upon arrival.

"What is your cancellation & reschedule policy?"

All sales are final. We do not issue refunds for cancellations and no shows.

You can reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before its start time. For games less than 24 hours away, a 15% rescheduling fee will be charged.

How to reschedule your game in 3 steps:
1. Click on your reservation link provided in the confirmation email.
2. Once on our Booking Confirmation page, click the "Reschedule Booking" button. You will then receive a Reschedule Code with a balance matching your booking price.
3. Use the voucher code to book a game at a suitable time on our website.

Please note that rescheduling is not possible if the game is scheduled to start within less than 12 hours, and the Reschedule Code is valid for 3 months.

"How do I cancel my reservation?"

You can cancel your reservation by replying to your original confirmation email and letting us know that you'd like to cancel. However, we encourage you to reschedule because there are no refunds applied for canceled reservations.

"What's the age policy at PanIQ Room?"

Children under 10 will not be admitted under any circumstances.

For children age 10-15, an adult must be a paid player in the room while playing.

For people age 16-18, an adult must show up before the game to check the players in and sign a waiver, but the adult does not have to be in the room during the game.

"When should I arrive?"

Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, because we have important pre-game procedures for your team including a waiver and rules. Your 60-minute timer starts precisely at the time you reserved.

"What if we're late for our game?"

Your game begins precisely at the time you reserved!

Your group can certainly start later, but you will have less time. Keep in mind the pre-game procedures (waiver and rules) for which we ask you to be 15 minutes early! There are no refunds for late arrivals.

Please email us ([email protected]) to notify us of late arrivals and scheduling changes--you can respond directly to your confirmation email, so we can figure out how to best accommodate you on a case-by-case basis.

"Do I have to sign anything before the game starts?

Each player will have to sign a waiver of liability before the game starts.

Travel (Parking, CTA, Restaurants)

"Where do I park?"

We have two unique locations in Chicago with ample parking options.

Logan Square: There is limited free street parking on W Logan Blvd and N Sacramento Ave. You can also find metered parking on N Milwaukee Ave and N Kedzie Ave. Allow extra time for parking on nights and weekends, as the area is most congested then!

Fulton Market: All surrounding streets offer limited free parking. Allow extra time to find parking on weekdays during business hours, as the area is most congested then!

"How can I get there by public transit or bike?"

Logan Square: We are 0.2 miles South-East of the CTA Blue Line Logan Square stop featuring a Divvy bike rental station at N Milwaukee Ave & N Kedzie Ave.

Fulton Market: Morgan station (CTA Pink and Green lines) is a 5-minute walk East of PanIQ Room Chicago. The nearest Divvy bike sharing stations are at Morgan St & Lake St, May St & Fulton St and May St & Randolph St.

If you ride your own bike, we can safely store it in our unit while you are playing.

“Do you have any restaurant recommendations?”

Logan Square: Mini Mott is a popular spot next door to grab a burger and a brew. We also recommend Reno Pizza, and El Cid Mexican Restaurant!

Fulton Market: PanIQ Room is in the heart of Restaurant Row, a renowned area for all sorts of dining, so options are plentiful. Macello is our favorite—conveniently located across the street and an excellent pairing with our Events!

Accessibility & Health Concerns

“Are there any health conditions that would prevent a player from playing the game?"

Please contact us prior to your game or prior to booking if you are worried about a specific health issue in relation to gameplay.

Our Game Masters can accommodate players’ needs and alter the games to a certain extent, though by nature escape games are exciting! Our aim is not to scare people; these are brain games.

"Is PanIQ Room wheelchair accessible?"

We are sorry, but our store is not wheelchair accessible due to rules regarding modification of historical sites. We apologize for any inconveniences.
