You know why we love escape rooms? Because there’s always a new way to challenge and delight our players.
And let us tell you, we have an endless amount of fresh ideas. So here we are again with some of our favorite new escape room puzzles and their genius way of making our guests think outside the box.

This is the third installment in our “Best New Escape Room Puzzles” series, with eight brand-new puzzles that combine teamwork, art, nostalgia and mind-blowing twists. Let’s take a look!

1. Mirror Cups: Anamorphosis on Steroids

Tweak the normal anamorphosis with Mirror Cups. This mind-boggling puzzle includes distorted images that can only be understood when a player looks into a cylindrical reflective surface, like a metal cup. He or she must place the cups in the right order to reveal a hidden message or symbols. This puzzle is an intriguing mix of art and logic. 2. Stamp puzzle

3. Clean the Board

Sometimes, the solution is right in front of you. You just have to see it.This puzzle involves a permanent code painted on a board, but it’s camouflaged with layers of dry-erase marker. Just make sure the game master retouches it before each session. Players must figure out that the markings need to be wiped away, and only then will the code appear. Such low-tech, highly effective puzzles reward sharp observation and lateral thinking.

4. Moving Labyrinth

Think of a maze that has that crucial key or code that you really want to get your hands on. The only issue is that parts of it are constantly moving. You have a chance to freeze the elements, but you have to be very precise. Stop it in the wrong place, and your key stays out of reach forever. The moving parts in this puzzle really add an element of thrill to the time constraint! You can watch these in action starting at 5 minutes in this YouTube video. 

5. Shadows on the Wall

This puzzle is a matter of perception and light. Players need to either find a figure or a light source (or both). Combining the two will result in a shadow being projected onto the wall that reveals a recognizable shape or a code.Visually extraordinary, this puzzle merges is a brilliant jewel in any escape room. 

6. Stop the Clock

Timing is everything in this high-pressure challenge. Players have to stop a countdown timer at a very specific time, down to the exact second or perhaps even a tenth of a second. Combining more clocks set to different target times can increase the difficulty, introducing the need to coordinate split-second decisions and stay calm while under pressure. It’s a perfect addition for adrenaline junkies.

7. Blind Map

Put your geography skills to test with the Blind Map puzzle. The touchscreen displays a map with nothing on it, and the players try to pinpoint a location as close to the actual position as possible. The closer they get, the higher they score. The sort of puzzle that combines learning with fun, deserves the attention of trivia fans and tactile learners alike.

8. Wicked Arcade Game

TheReverse Arcade Game requires teamwork at its finest. One player seesthe screen; the other handlesthe controller on the other side of the room. Can the players communicate well enough to make it work?This problem brings nostalgic feelings and  team building to the surface at the same time.
